The Melt-Off.
To explore the event before funding it, DeepCheese simulated Hackathon 0: synthetic employees, humanoid robots, cast-iron pans, and forty-eight hours of competitive grilled cheese production. Multimodal image-generation systems were used to visualize the record below. No physical event occurred. Several things still went wrong.
Team Medium-Low executes a conservative flip, round two. The flip was successful. It was one of four successful flips recorded that weekend, out of ninety-one attempts.
How far might current models get?
While LLM-0's corpus is under construction, DeepCheese modeled a narrower question: what happens when a humanoid robot receives a cast-iron pan, a fixed ingredient budget, and enough confidence to become dangerous?
Far enough to produce lunch. Not far enough to stand near the soup unsupervised.
Entries were judged against draft CheeseBench criteria: crust uniformity, melt distribution, cheese pull under load, structural integrity, and dip resilience. Judging was blind, except that the judges could see the robots, which proved impossible to avoid and, by the end, impossible to look away from.

What the cameras caught.

The soup event, frozen at 1/8000th of a second. Unit 2 had been asked to stir. Unit 2 stirred. The laptop survived. The relationship between Unit 2 and soup has been reclassified as supervised.

Unit 4 achieved full cheese coverage of itself within nine minutes of activation. The condition is now referred to internally as self-buttering. Unit 4 finished fifth.

Unit 6 presents entry #12 with visible pride. Entry #12 scored zero across all five criteria, a first. The extinguisher was not needed. The extinguisher is always nearby now.

Results
In the modeled event, every team eventually produced at least one grilled cheese a judge described as "sincerely good." The winning entry held a 41-centimeter cheese pull without structural failure. The result depended on patience, which the model had, and a medium-low burner, which took three rounds to discover.
Findings, including flip conservatism, thermal patience, and the upper bound on stirring, are being folded into the LLM-0 evaluation framework. The simulation ended cleanly. The incident report did not.
Before Hackathon 1, the robotics team has requested a stirring-speed limit. Facilities has requested no soup.
Closing ceremony. The trophy is a wedge. Unit 5 has not put it down. Nobody has asked Unit 5 to put it down.
